New President for the YC

Thanks was given to former Selkirk player Duncan Lawson, who has stepped down as President of Selkirk Rugby Youth Club after his time in the role.

Duncan Lawson

A familiar face at youth matches both home and away, Duncan was regularly seen on the touchline supporting players, coaches and volunteers, demonstrating his commitment to the development of youth rugby in Selkirk. His enthusiasm and dedication have been greatly appreciated by everyone involved with the club.

Although stepping down as President, Duncan won’t be a stranger around The Haugh. He will continue to support the Youth Club by coming along to watch matches, with his son Chris still playing for the club. His wife, Morven, will also remain actively involved as a valued member of the Youth Club committee.

As he hands over the presidency, Duncan has wished his successor, fellow former Selkirk player Roderick Ballantyne, every success in the role and is confident the club will continue to go from strength to strength under his leadership.

Everyone at the club extends their sincere thanks to Duncan for his outstanding service, commitment and support of the Youth Club over the years, and wishes both Duncan and Roderick every success for the future.
