Cameron Bakers

Description

Cameron Bakers has been around for over 70 years; around long enough to be part of most folk’s memories!

Colin Kay, following his father’s trade, took over this baker’s shop on the High Street, 25 years ago.  Now the only baker to produce the Selkirk Bannock in the town of its origin, Camerons bake between 250 and 300 Selkirk Bannocks a week; that’s around 15,000 a year!  The bannocks are delivered all across the Scottish Borders and now to our new local distillery: Selkirk Distillers, the essential ingredient to their Selkirk Bannock Gin!

However, Cameron’s is not just about the Bannocks!   Their products range from bread and morning rolls; pies and sausage rolls; right through to a meringue and fresh cream cakes!

And if that isn’t enough: Cameron’s are delighted to make speciality cakes for all occasions by pre-order.  Just pop in and let them know what you’re after.
