Five Turrets Handwoven

Carolynn Shaw produces beautiful one-off pieces of hand weaving from her studio in Chapel Street, Selkirk.

With an emphasis on local sourcing, she produces a range of pieces including scarves, shawls, wall hangings and bed runners.

Carolynn got her hands on her first loom – a four shaft Ashford table loom – in 2015 and used it to produce all the handwoven pieces for the family business, The Five Turrets holiday rental property on Ettrick Terrace.

Since then she has added a Leclerc Colonial floor loom to her collection, then followed that with a reclaimed Harris eight shaft loom.

She sells her finished pieces through an online shop and posts details of new pieces on Instagram and on her blog.
