Sue Elliot Creative Silks & Velvets

I have been in business since 1998. I draw my inspiration from the colours and textures surrounding me in my daily life, and my passion for colour and texture has informed my choice of fabric and design.  I create scarves, wraps, bags and corsages.  I am mostly self-taught and have been working with silks and velvets for many moons.  A few years ago, I expanded  this range to include Nuno felting and also started using vibrant recycled sari silk.  Until recently I was part of ‘The Crafters’, a group of artists and designers in Melrose. During lockdown I took part in some amazing online felting  courses and going forward I plan to spend some time exploring all the techniques I learnt.
