Selkirk & Haining Car Park Proposals

Thank you for such a great response to the public consultation.

For a summary of the results please take a look here.

The aims of the project are to increase the number of car parking spaces in Selkirk, grow the number of visitors to the town centre and develop the physical link and partnership between the town and the Haining Estate.  A key requirement is to support the economic development of the town, considering the opportunities to encourage additional overnight visitors and to extend lengths of stay.

The questionnaire was produced to contribute to a feasibility study and action plan commissioned by Selkirk Means Business in partnership with the Haining Trust and funded by SOSEP (South of Scotland Economic Partnership).  The public consultation was to gather your views to help guide the next steps.  Other potential car parking sites have been considered and discounted but if you’d like further information please contact the BID Manager direct on hello@exploreselkirk.co.uk.  Plans are available to view HERE.
