Sheila Cochrane was presented with the James Oliver Memorial Award at this year’s Merchant Company Winter Function. Sheila’s work on the creation of the Pringle Park Playpark as well as her many varied fundraising activities made Sheila a popular recipient of the award which recognises exceptional achievements by an individual to the benefit of the town.
The award was presented by the Master Viv Ross and the certificate was presented by Dot Henderson, this year’s Lady Busser standing in for Standard Bearer Elliot Henderson who is working in New Zealand.. Entertainment was provided by singer and performer Gabriel Bird and Gael Force and an enjoyable evening was had by all who attended.
