New Barber Shop Set to Open in Selkirk High Street

A new barber shop is set to open in the heart of Selkirk, with local lad Jackson Ferguson preparing to welcome customers to his new business, Blendz.
Jackson lives in Lilliesleaf and attended Selkirk High School and is a familiar face in the town through his involvement with Selkirk Rugby Youth Club. After leaving school, he decided to pursue a career in barbering, studying at Edinburgh College to gain his qualifications while also developing his skills working at Selkirk Barbers. Now, Jackson is taking the next step by opening his own premises at 16 High Street, Selkirk at the old Red Cross shop
The new shop, Blendz, will initially be owned and managed by Jackson, with plans to expand the team in the future by bringing in another barber.
Jackson said he hopes the business will not only provide a high-quality barbering service but also make a positive contribution to the town.
“I’m hardworking and want to do everything I can to make Blendz a success”
Final preparations are now underway, and Jackson is hoping to open the doors of Blendz as soon as possible. The arrival of the new business is another welcome addition to Selkirk’s High Street, offering customers a fresh choice while supporting the continued growth of local independent businesses.
